Welcome! We are glad that you are considering joining our great fraternity. Please fill out the New Member Questionnaire and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Once you have filled out this form one of our representatives will either email or call you and set up a time and place to meet. When someone is thinking about joining we like to get to know them a little before handing out a bid.
A bid is an invitation to pledge Sigma Chi. If you accept, you will be asked to attend a weekly class that focuses on several aspects of Sigma Chi including its history and structure, and we facilitate team building and leadership exercises.
The pledge program wraps up with what is called I-Week. This is an intense week of self examination and it is a time to focus on how you will become the leader, brother, and man you want to be.
Throughout the entire process we remind our new members that school ALWAYS comes first. You are never expected to miss class for something Sigma Chi related. We are all here as students first and Sigma Chi should never get in the way of your studies. Also, Sigma Chi has a zero tolerance policy on hazing. We take that very seriously at our chapter and you are never asked to do anything degrading, embarrassing, or anything that does not serve you in a positive way.
